WordPress Weekend Resources – September 19, 2008

Another week has passed, which means another set of WordPress weekend resources.

WordPress Developer’s Toolbox – A massive collection of WordPress-related resources, compiled by Smashing Magazine. The collection may be a little overwhelming at first, and it does look a bit jumbled to me. There’s some good stuff there though.

WordPress .XML Test Data Import – Basically, you can use this file to import into a fresh WordPress install to set up a test environment for theming. It comes with a series of “Lorem ipsum” posts, as well as tags, categories, and other things. In last week’s issue of WordPress weekend resources, I featured a similar release by WPCandy.

Stalking the Wild 2.7 – Ryan Boren goes over some finalized features in WordPress 2.7. One of the most interesting ones is definitely the “automatic upgrade” of the WordPress core, as well as the automatic plugin installation and integration with the plugin browser.

That’s all for this week. If you know of any other recently published WordPress-related resources, feel free to leave a comment.
