  1. Would I be correct in thinking that most if not all of these sre based on Paypal Checkout. Paypal say they have discontinued support for it and will deprecate completely in April 2022. PP are desperate to introduce PayPal Payments so that they can offer credit to the buyers. It is much more complicated.
Problem is that Paypal Payments is massively plagued by problems and negative reviews outnumber positive by 9 to one.

I have read all 12 but I am still not sure what is best for my WordPress Payment needs. Can you help? I have a shop page on my WordPress website set up. I made a mistake of selecting a payment method I do not like. The customer goes to my site and checks out on another platform. What I really want is for the customer to be able to purchase my book/check out on my website Shop page, using the payment method they desire (with or without a credit card on hand). The product will need to be mailed to the customer (Order 3 or more books, the shipping cost will be waived.) What EXACT Plugin (s) is recommended?

    1. Good question… I am assuming you’re using an eCommerce plugin, such as WooCommerce.

Even if you selected a wrong payment method while configuring your eCommerce store, you could change it in the Settings now. Please note that PayPal usually takes your customers to the PayPal website to complete the checkout, regardless of what plugin you use.

Instead of PayPal, consider installing a WordPress Stripe plugin to make sure people check out from your website instead of being redirected to a third-party platform:
