How To Disable Automatic Formatting in the Visual Editor

Are you looking for a way to disable automatic formatting in the visual editor? This snippet disables the automatic formatting in the visual editor if you would prefer to format the content yourself.

Instructions:

All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s functions.php file or in a site-specific plugin:

remove_filter('the_content', 'wptexturize');
remove_filter('the_excerpt', 'wptexturize');
