Are you looking for a way to display a post’s custom field only if the custom field exists? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to display a post’s custom field only if the custom field exists.
All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s single.php file or in a site-specific plugin:
<?php if( get_post_meta($post->ID, "QWERTY", true) ): ?> <?php echo get_post_meta($post->ID, "QWERTY", $single = true); ?> <?php else: ?> <!-- something can go here if you don't have the custom field, but it's optional --> <?php endif; ?>
Replace ‘QWERTY’ with the name of your custom field in above code.
Note: If this is your first time adding code snippets in WordPress, then please refer to our guide on how to properly add code snippets in WordPress, so you don’t accidentally break your site.
