Cheap Hosting Rating
Bluehost Cheap Hosting Review

Bluehost’s cheap hosting also known as shared hosting is a perfect option if you’re just starting out and are only expecting low traffic volume. In a shared hosting server, your website shares hosting resources with other websites hosted on the same server. This is what allows hosting companies to keep the costs low.
While shared hosting providers often say unmetered bandwidth, if your website starts attracting a high load of traffic, then your hosting provider will ask you to upgrade to a higher plan that is faster and more reliable than shared hosting.
Cloud hosting utilizes multiple servers, so in the case of a high traffic surge, the automatic failover process will switch you to another hosting server to ensure fast performance.
With every shared hosting plan, you get dozens of free website scripts to easily launch your website, blog or an online store, including WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal with one-click installers.
You’ll also get a free domain name and free SSL certificate to protect your website from data interception and misuse. This reassures your customers that their data is being sent over a secure connection, which can also entice your customers to do business with you.
As part of Bluehost’s shared hosting plan, they also offer free marketing bonuses to help you get your website off the ground. We highly recommend them for all small businesses.
In case you’re not satisfied, you can always take advantage of their 30-day money back guarantee, but it’s highly unlikely that you’ll need that!

- Unlimited Disk Space and industry-leading hardware

Dedicated Hosting Rating
Bluehost Dedicated Hosting Review

With Bluehost dedicated hosting, you’re renting a physical server exclusively for your website. The best part about dedicated servers is that you don’t share resources with any other sites, so the server can be configured specifically for your needs.
Built on OpenStack technology, Bluehost offers reliable dedicated hosting at a reasonable price. You can choose from three different pricing plans, and each plan comes with an enhanced cPanel that allows you to easily upgrade your storage space on the fly without admin intervention.
With Bluehost dedicated hosting, you get a minimum of 4 cores per server, 1TB of RAID storage, and between four and 16 gigs of available RAM. You can even have more than one hosting service in a single account, including shared, VPS or dedicated hosting.
Unlike other dedicated server hosting which takes hours or days to set up your account, Bluehost has the ability to instantly provision their dedicated servers, so you can get started immediately.
Because Bluehost owns their own data center, they regularly invest in top-notch hardware and infrastructure to ensure their dedicated servers are top of the line.
Bluehost does an excellent job in making sure that your server stays updated with new OS changes and security fixes.
However, when you start getting into the advanced server optimization and configuration, your experience will vary from each support / system administrator that you talk with.
Sometimes, you will be asked to pay additional fees to install certain scripts or modules on the server.
Overall though, Bluehost’s dedicated hosting offers the best value for the money.
- Storage – 500GB to 1000GB
- RAM – 4GB to 16GB
- Regular price is 125.99/ mo. but our users pay $79.99/ mo.
- 24/7 Chat, and Phone Support
- Dedicated support agents

VPS Rating
Bluehost VPS Hosting Review

After shared hosting, cloud and VPS hosting are the next step up. VPS is short for Virtual Private Server. With VPS hosting, while you’ll be sharing resources with other sites, you have a lot more dedicated power and flexibility for your site.
Built using open-source technology like OpenStack and KVM, Bluehost offers VPS hosting that’s both powerful and easy to use. Because Bluehost owns their own data centers, they invest in state-of-the-art hardware to unlock breakthrough speeds.
With its VPS plans, Bluehost offers you up to four cores and 2GB to 8GB of RAM with guaranteed resources.
Every VPS configuration comes with an improved cPanel interface, featuring everything found in a shared hosting interface along with special tools for your VPS management.
Unlike our VPS hosting services, Bluehost’s VPS is instantly provisioned, meaning you don’t have to wait hours or days to have your account activated. You can instantly log in and start building your website.
Bluehost’s VPS servers are designed to support Secure Shell access, log file access and more. You also get SSD (Solid State Drive) storage ranging from 30 GB to 120 GB.
The biggest advantage of VPS hosting is that you have guaranteed resources allocated towards your website, so it can have maximum performance and uptime.
You have the ability to do multi-server management, have access control, can obtain root access for advanced configuration and more. Bluehost’s VPS offering is amongst the best in the industry for its price.
Bluehost smart support team will be there to help you along every step of the way.
- Storage – 30GB to 120GB
- RAM – 2GB to 8GB
- Regular price $39.99/ mo. but you pay $19.99/ mo.

WooCommerce Hosting Rating
Bluehost WooCommerce Hosting Review

WooCommerce is the most popular eCommerce platform on the internet. Due to its recent growth, many web hosting companies have started offering optimized WooCommerce hosting plans.
Bluehost due to its strong relationship with the WordPress community was among the first to build WooCommerce specific hosting plans. Their WooCommerce hosting plan comes with the WooCommerce plugin pre-installed along with the Storefront theme.
With Bluehost’s WooCommerce hosting, you get everything you need to start an online store. You get a dedicated IP address, positive SSL security, a dedicated support line, and more.
Bluehost is also an officially recommended WooCommerce hosting provider. Bluehost makes sure that you have everything you need to start an online store on a budget.
The WooCommerce hosting is built on top of the Bluehost cloud hosting infrastructure so it can handle larger load and traffic than a typical shared hosting plan. Often users get confused between the WordPress hosting vs WooCommerce hosting option that Bluehost offers.
While you can use either plan, we recommend using the WooCommerce hosting plan for WooCommerce sites for optimal results.
- Storage – Unlimited
- WooCommerce Pre-Installed
- Dedicated IP Addresses, Private SSL, and Bonus Offers
- The regular price is $24.95/ mo. but our users pay $9.95/ mo.
- 24/7 Chat, and Phone Support

Terrible customer service. I have been trying for weeks to get email to show up in Outlook and the Apple Mail application. I have call Bluehost Customer Service over ten times in the past week. They keep telling me to try different things but they don’t work. All they did was ask me for screen shots, which I provided twice, but then the only told me to keep trying. They don’t seem to understand (or care) that their instructions are not applicable.
For the first year bluehost was amazing, then my site was crashing every other hour, now I moved to another host and the problem went away. Don’t use bluhost
Worst Technical Support team! Low graded team are working with them. My Site was deactivated without prior intimation because of mysql over usages, and asked me to upgrade the plan, as per their suggestion I paid and upgraded the plan. Bledy Technical team from 2 weeks they are stuck with migration problem. I strongly recommend not to register for Bledy BLUEHOST.
Absolutle rip off, allowed me to renew ,then said i had TOS violations after the 30 days to cancel,no customer service, will not refund,i have lost over $1000.Do not go near them
Bluehost is not honest with their customers. I renewed my Web hosting account with Will on 8 Sept 2022 and he gave me a case number. I also have a receipt that has the new expiration date of 17 October 2023. 21 October I received an automated email that my account was expiring in 29 days. 25 October I received an email that my Domain name renewed and it included an expiration date for my Web hosting of 17 October 2023. I noticed that I was not getting any emails so today I called and they said they cancelled their free non-profit web hosting. I have 2 emails with the new web-hosting renewal date of 17 October 2023. I asked that they at least forward my emails for a while – customer service did not understand what I was asking.
I would NOT trust them with my website. I cannot tell you, as a small non-profit, what they have done to us.
Blue Host is a complete corrupt piece of rubbish that is ripping off customers. I would warn EVERYONE to stay away!!! Ridiculous increases in charges and they have no protection from malware (but they will conveniently try to sell you malware tech services for an exorbitant amount). KEEP CLEAR!!!
I am deeoly unsatisfied with Bluehost. It took me a full week for them to restore my email using backup data. I was literally just passed on from one person to another and did not actually get the help I needed when five days after first asking for help I sent a strongly worded demand that they fix this issue. Suddenly a task they said could “take a while” took a few hours and was immediately resolved. I am furious.
Worst support ever. They do not know what a Microsoft Tenant is. We were not able to move a domain from their hosted solution to Microsoft. Unbelievable.
Customer service is the worst you can not talk to a USA representative everything goes to the Philippines. They have no clue what they are doing. Put tech support back in the USA. Because of tech support issues my company will probably not be doing business with them much longer.
Bluehost #1? That would be humorous if it didn’t cost businesses money. I used them for approximately 20 years, with over 50 accounts, personal, business and with clients I referred them to. In the past 5 years, I’ve moved them ALL off Bluehost except one left, which is now looking for another hosting company. Bluehost shuts clients’ business sites with no notice when attacked by malware. I called iThemes Security and was told the attack came from “their shared servers, not directly from the web.” Bluehost informed my client they would have to have their domains “cleaned” before lifting the suspension. By the way, that’s $299 per domain. Talk about being held hostage. Curiously, reinstalling the backup they had before the attack didn’t work. For smaller issues, their support, when after 30 to 45 minutes waiting, answers from a part of the world that speaks broken english and is at times hard to understand. They also have now hired remote (admitted by one rep) who are inexperienced. One kept telling me to “hold on” while appearing to read from a manual. When they can’t figure it out, the have to create an ‘internal support request’ which you spend your time hearing them having to type it all up. Once they submit it, they inform you that “you should hear back from them by email within 24 to 72 hours”! But you normally don’t. You normally have to call back, wait 30 to 40 minutes, sit there while they take 5-10 minutes to read your account history (instead of listening to you), wait for them again to read their manual. It got to a point I had to keep asking to speak to a manager. Who then would submit an “internal support request.” Considering Bluehost? Beware. Why it’s even on this list, let alone #1 is beyond perplexing.
Hey Dan, thanks for sharing your experience. Bluehost is still the top choice for beginners with limited budgets.
It offers a great start and saves a lot of money to startups, personal bloggers, etc. Hence they’re a popular choice and #1 on the list.
Bluehost also provides our users a big discount on top of their regular offers!
I’ve been with them for about 5 years, they are fast and no problems in performance.
the main problem is the support service.
when you try to call -> no one picks up
when you try live chat you get 2 options:
1) new costumer -> gets an agent in seconds
2) old costumer -> chances to get an agent are slim to none
plus they sometimes bill you stuff that are not related, or stuff past expiration date that you did not approve or were given ANY notice about it what so ever.
Bluehost is the best hosting for beginners and also professionals. I like it.
Bluehost is known to be a TERRIBLE Hosting Co. I have had nothing but problems ever since starting with them. Server Issues ALL time. Now my sites have been Suspended for a reason that is not true. WATCH OUT for these slicksters!!!!
I have a website that has on off periods of traffic so there are points where I have a lot of activity on the site, as you mentioned they can handle large amounts of traffic, but it all depends on the chosen plan. It’s not optional in my view to have to choose a plan, and pre determined specs of server. When it comes to these kind of dilemmas in choosing a packet especially when you can predict the exact amount of traffic your website will be generated then I recommend something like Dynamic Edge with elastic resource allocation offered by dhosting[dot]com their server automatically gives you more resources as needed without your intervention or having to contact support.
Do NOT use Blue Host!!!! Not only did they give my phone number and email out to every person in the entire world, BUT after having my membership cancelled for one whole year they charged my visa randomly! My bank is currently looking into this, and I have been nothing but unhappy since trying this out! When I copied the description on my visa statement and pasted it in google, it looks like TONS of people have the same issue. Also, when I first signed up, I received almost 3-4 spam phone calls a day of which they left messages and it was to the point where I almost cancelled my voicemail!
The one and only reason I am giving this company a semi-decent review is mainly because of their ONE knowledgeable support agent. I would call in COUNTLESS times and request alanna keel to assist me with my server as EVERYONE else would keep me on hold for 30 minutes or more. I had my site migrated to my VPS account, which mind you, I PAID FOR!! Long story short, the migration was extremely messed up and my sites were all types of broken. After being on hold for an hour waiting for “Steven” the apparent manager to come to the phone (Apparently managers are too busy to attend to customers, WHO KNEW) I hung up and got an unexpected suprise when I called back. After explaining my frustration for the THIRD TIME, I got alanna who actually fixed my sites within 15 minutes. All 4 of them. Didnt even put me on hold. They were fixed before I ended my story, if were being completely honest. Bluehost needs more employees that know what they are doing. 2 years ago, I could call in and have my problem fixed in 2 minutes. These days, the support is so slow. ALSO DO NOT OPEN A CHAT, I DONT THINK THEY CAN UNDERSTAND SIMPLE ENGLISH. I feel bad for employees like Alanna, who are CLEARLY picking up the slack for the poorly trained agents they currently have, Unfortunately, after october I was unable to get in touch with my favorite agent so I ended up cancelling services with Bluehost and moved to Godaddy. I give Bluehost an 80/100 for one reason only. The superior support from ONE person I talked to out of 20. Host with caution!!!!!!
It’s not a new thing that blue host is the best hosting service. I manage 5 websites of my own and all are hosted under bluehost since 4 years and till now I am not facing a single problem! So, I recommend everyone to use bluehost.
how can i use it
We’ve been using Bluehost since 2008 and wouldn’t use any other firm. They make everything easy from setting up a new site, to managing the content. And they have extremely fair pricing for a small business.
We would highly recommend them to anyone looking (and do!) and to that end, we have even added services they offer to our regular hosting.
Hello,
I like Bluehost customer service the best. They are polite, speak English very well, and are very helpful.
I like your prices also.
I didn’t like the email servers getting blocked by AT&T servers, but I know you didn’t do that.
Something I think all your techies should know that is if a customer can’t delete an empty subdomain folder, they need to delete the upper level url too.
That’s it! Thank you for helping me to earn some pocket money.
I always receive intelligent service/help when I call.
Thanks to BlueHost
I’ve been using Bluehost for about 6 months. So far, it’s been very good. I haven’t had any problems that I didn’t cause. The platform is stable. I’m happy with it.
We have had no issues with Bluehost. On the few occasions we’ve needed support responses have been prompt.
Very happy with Bluehost as a web hosting service; I highly recommend their services.
Word Press is easy to work with and so glad to had Word Press to set up my website.
Keep up the good work!
