How to Remove Subnav Menu Item in BuddyPress

Are you looking for a way to remove menu items to change the appearance of your BuddyPress social network? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to remove subnav menu item in BuddyPress.

Instructions:

All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s bp-custom.php file:

function bp_remove_nav_item() {
    global $bp;
    bp_core_remove_subnav_item( $bp->profile->slug, 'change-avatar' );
}
add_action( 'wp', 'bp_remove_nav_item' );
