Without a doubt this is the best hosting company with excellent customer service and consistent. I have a reseller account and when transferring a clients website to my site ground reseller account the previous host was a huge problem. Plus due to my inexperience this was a very difficult transfer. SiteGround was awesome! Siteground is the best. They cater to developers and it shows. Their full support of letsencrypt is a good indication of their philosophy. I am so pleased since I left hostgator. Siteground always focuses the customer and solving problems from a customer perspective, unlike hostgator who always seems to want to upsell me.
Not what it used to be, really.
Since a year or so the tech support team became more & more evasive, and sometimes have to ask three or four times about a particular topic (website transfer for exemple) to finaly see the full picture. The sales team totally IGNORE request for rebates while a few years backs they would always throw in something small in a renewal deal, and the purely tech part in my case, with their Site Scanner service went idle on its own without reason for 8 days with the tech support not following up at first and giving wrong info, was also a let down. I think that with their customer growing base and very good review rting at the moment, Siteground is starting to be overwlehmed with too many things to do and cant do them properly, or, believe that they reach the top of the mountain already and can pay less attention to their exisiting customer base (I believe that the second option is the most accuratte probably). I am starting to use alternative hosting option from this point before leaving them totally if I can find a more eager to earn trust provider.

I just got signed up online for a new blog/web site I want to start. After years with other hosting companies for other projects, this was the EASIEST and FASTEST set up and the online assistance was stellar, walking me through the whole process quickly and easily. Reasonably priced, I’m looking forward to working on the site I’ve started with Siteground. So far the customer service seems to be excellent!
Good offering of a commodity service. Nothing to complain about on the performance/interface side, or at least for that little that I use it for. Decent tech support too. My only grief is the borderline shady practice when they sold a CloudFlare add-on which comes across as a CloudFlare Pro at a discount but it isn’t. You are forced to switch your DNS to SiteGround if you want to use more than one subdomain. No indication of that before you pay a year in full. And it evidently it’s non-refundable. To their credit they offered to refund once I have filed a credit card dispute and now it’s been months going back and forth with the customer support trying to get this money back. Feels like they are screwing with me, will see how it goes… A strange way to treat customers in this competitive market.
Another thing that raised a red flag was the fact that they ask for your password to verify your account over the phone.
Definitely pulling my accounts out.
