Remove admin color scheme picker from profile

Adding this snippet to the functions.php of your wordpress theme will remove the admin color scheme picker from the profile page.


if(is_admin()){
  remove_action("admin_color_scheme_picker", "admin_color_scheme_picker");
}

  1. Also, remove the if statement to remove the Picker for everybody. In conduction with this hook, you can add the following to set a default scheme that is to your liking:

    //Set Default Color Scheme
    add_filter(‘get_user_option_admin_color’, ‘change_admin_color’);
    function change_admin_color($result) {
    return ‘ocean’;
    }

  2. Great, thanks! I wanted the option removed for subscribers, too, so I did this:

    if ( array( ‘is_admin()’, ‘is_subscriber()’ ) ) {
    remove_action(“admin_color_scheme_picker”, “admin_color_scheme_picker”);
    }
