Print a List of All Supported Shortcodes

Snippets by IsItWP

Do you want to display a list of all shortcodes supported by WordPress and your theme? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to print a list of all supported shortcodes in WordPress.

Instructions:

All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s template file where you want to display the shortcodes list.:

<?
        global $shortcode_tags;
        echo "<pre>"; print_r($shortcode_tags); echo "</pre>";
?>

Note: If this is your first time adding code snippets in WordPress, then please refer to our guide on how to properly add code snippets in WordPress, so you don’t accidentally break your site.

    Where exactly do you put this? I don’t think it would go in the front-end (public view) theme, right?

    1. Well you can put it anywhere but this is just a print_r if you try it you will see it just prints the array itself. This is just something people may find useful to integrate into a plugin or admin interface.

  2. Cool glad you like the snippet!

  3. very very good idea.
    thanks
