8 Best Email Marketing Services for Small Business (2021)

The Best Email Marketing Services

Are you looking for the best email marketing services for small businesses?

Email marketing is the best way to connect with your visitors, build an engaging relationship, and convert them into customers.

Choosing the best email marketing service that has all the features you need is crucial for the success of your business. Each email marketing service has its own unique set of features, options, and settings.

In this article, we’ll compare the top email marketing services to help you pick the best email marketing platform for your business.

What Is Email Marketing and Why Do You Need It?

Email marketing is a great way to get your message across, whether you’re a blogger and want to give your readers regular updates or you’re a business trying to generate more leads. With email marketing, you get your message straight into the inbox of the people you want to see it.

Email Marketing

If you have a website of any kind that has traffic, then you need to do email marketing. Email marketing gives you the ability to contact your visitors even after they leave your website.

A few benefits of email marketing are:

  • Increase repeat visits: Over 70% of website visitors abandoning your website will never return. When you build an email list, you can build a connection with your visitors by collecting their email addresses and sending them valuable content.
  • Build a loyal following: Repeat visitors are more likely to convert into customers, compared to first-time visitors. In fact, studies show that it takes 3-4 visits to your website for your potential customers to actually think of doing business with you.
  • Increase sales: Email conversions outperform both social and organic search traffic. So if you’re looking to make sales, then you’ll need to start email marketing.

How to Choose the Best Email Marketing Service

Choosing the right email marketing service that fits your needs is important for your business. Just because an email marketing company is popular doesn’t always mean that it’s the best solution for your needs. It’s easy to get overwhelmed with different choices since there are dozens of email marketing solutions on the market. That’s why we’re going to break it all down for you!

Here are a few basic things you’ll need to focus on when choosing an email marketing platform:

  • Ease of use: It’s important that the email marketing service you choose is easy to use and works with your business.
  • Automation: Almost all services out there allow you to automate your email campaigns, but each one does it in a different way. Take a look at how different tools automate your campaigns and figure out if they help solve your needs.
  • Industry: Some services are aimed at serving certain industries only. For example, ConvertKit was built specifically with publishers in mind. If that doesn’t describe you, then you’ll have to sign up for a service that better addresses your industry requirements.
  • Pricing: Obviously, the tool you choose must fit your budget.

  1. How can we get email of the people? How frequently emails should be sent? Hey, after reading this article, I have lots of questions to ask. Can I ask more questions here again. Please reply

    1. There are many ways to collect emails from your website visitors. You can take a look at our complete guide on how to build an email list.

For each blog/website, it depends on your audience to set up the flow of emails. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like, we’ll be happy to answer. 🙂

  2. Can you comment about differences between some service’s ability to not get filtered/blocked by various domains? I would like to understand the solution(s) they have to deliver those emails successfully. Recent campaigns using Vertical Response, resulted in large failures when multiple emails hit certain domains at the same time. I’m guessing there is something to consider with regard to clean vs dirty servers?

  3. As a small online homeware decor and hiding online retailer I want to send out adverts and emails. Not big volumes as yet. Simple yet that can grow. Need a leads management system that’s affordable for start ups. What’s the top 3 that one can recommend. Pls advise.

  4. Good read. I am new to email marketing and looking for solutions which are good for beginners with basic features but good email delivery. Currently, Mail250 and Sendinblue are on top of my list. Good to see Sendinblue is also a part of the above list.

Enjoyed reading this blog, but i am still undecided which is best for myself as a publisher.. I want to send our newspaper to more than 5000 email subscribers with a file size of 20 megs every week.

    1. Would you not be better hosting the newspaper online and giving people access to it via a unique or password protected link? 20mb email is too big and will use a lot of bandwidth if going to 5000 subscribers.

  6. I must say a very informative blog. As an email marketer myself I know that email validation and verification plays a very important role in deciding the overall ROI of an email marketing campaign. It would be really beneficial for me and all the other email marketers if we can get a comparison of which all ESP can be integrated with what all email verifying tools. Can that be added in his blog? Like I am considering to use either Clearout or Blazeverify.

It will be great if I can get to know about the integrations. Can you consider this fact?

  7. Nice article. I recently switched from MailChimp to MailMarketer and have been pleased with the results. Very affordable and suitable for large campaigns.

  8. hey,
i am just asking about the limited email i can send
i have around 30, million email address
pls let me now which plan??

    1. For that kind of volume I would recommend checking out reachmail as they would be able to handle that kind of volume at a reasonable price.

  9. Fantastic overview. As a newbie to online marketing this post is a great place to start.

Thanks for your review. Is there a better alternative to Active Campaign, looking at a platform that has a Email Marketing and CRM. Hubspot does it for me, but it is quite expensive.

    1. Maybe you can try out Constant Contact, which also comes with CRM.

  13. Great review – Thanks!
Drip – I set up clients on Drip. It is Great for e-commerce shops and those selling their info products online. It is easy to get started with Shopify + Drip integrations – but a lot of features are “hidden” so setup is not always intuitive. Some of the powerful features I love are being able to conditionally display content in emails based on subscriber/customer behaviors as well as being able to automation sending of email also based on conditions!

  14. Brilliant article. It was so interesting to read & thanks to you for posting such a good blog, keep updating regularly.

  17. Nice Explainations

  18. Additional info: with stripo.email I could create a good newsletter design for Mailchimp on iPad. Works for any other mail system. You can create one template at a time for free and get their logo below, but it this is okay it think 🙂

  19. Hi, you forgot mailjet – I tried the editor online and am very impressed. Even on my iPad I can edit the campaign fluently and directly. With MailChimp I have issues with the editor on iPad and Mac (if I resize the editor part) – I have a doubled view there: right edit section and left in same size the preview section.

  20. Great info , good thanks .

  21. I have a small fine dining restaurant looking for a service with great food oriented themes that is inexpensive. Do you know of any that you might recommend?
