How to Automatically Activate Plugins in WordPress

Snippets by IsItWP

Are you looking for a way to automatically activate all your plugins? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to automatically activate plugins in WordPress.

Instructions:

All you have to do is add this code to your wp-config.php file:

<?php
// get already activated plugins
$plugins = get_option('active_plugins');
if($plugins){
    $puginsToActiv = array('Plugin1', 'Plugin2', 'Plugin3');
    foreach ($puginsTostActiv as $plugin){
        if (!in_array($plugin, $plugins)) {
             array_push($plugins,$plugin);
             update_option('active_plugins',$plugins);
        }
    }
}
?>

Note: If this is your first time adding code snippets in WordPress, then please refer to our guide on how to properly add code snippets in WordPress, so you don’t accidentally break your site.

  1. Sorry, but this doesn’t work when I fill in the plugin names in the array. Nothing happens, also no error.
